The Sutherland and the Triangle Chapter of NACE, National Association of Catering Executives, sponsored a wedding for a deserving Triangle couple on Tuesday, March 10, 2009.
While putting together their monthly meeting agenda, focused on current wedding trends, the idea was brought up to find a deserving couple to sponsor and have them married at the event. Although time was against the group, they were able to find a couple, Josh and Christina McMinis. The event took place Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in the evening at The Sutherland in Wake Forest, a beautifully restored historical landmark, now hosting private events.
Everything was provided for the couple, including wedding gown, tux, flowers, photography, music, cake, food and more. In a time when the economy is what it is, a lot of couples have to skip the frills of a big wedding altogether and go to the Justice of the Peace, which is what this couple was planning. Instead, Josh and Christina had the wedding of their dreams.
