Anthony and Amy by BASH Parties

Anthony and Amy met while traveling abroad in Belgium so when they toured Het Landhuis, the Dutch inspired estate in Pittsboro, they knew they had the perfect location for their wedding.

Amy wanted a wedding with modern flair but she was not sure how to incorporate that look with the rustic feel of the estate. The couple hired Courtney Scholl of Parties by Bash to help bring Amy’s wedding day vision to life. Amy and Courtney selected a beautiful and unusual color palette using a traditional fall burnt-orange paired with pewter to add that modern look. They also tucked a sleek invitation inside a pewter pocket enclosure to help seal the tone for the event.

Anthony and Amy held their very intimate ceremony in the lovely gabled barn on the rustic estate. They selected this location to exchange their vows because it reminded them of the church in Belgium where they first met. Amy looked breathtaking in her Rivini gown tastefully complimented by a stunning bouquet of cymbidium orchids and roses.

Guests were first invited to have cocktails by the pool and then to join the reception held in front of the log cabin. The couple seated their guests at hollow rectangular tables with towering rose and orchid centerpieces on each table and glass cubes filled with roses surrounded the inner edge of the tables. This unique table setting looked stunning against the backdrop of the open field. In lieu of a guest book, the couple included a Wish Tree ― a popular Dutch wedding tradition. Guests were given a paper leaf and were asked to write a special wish for Anthony and Amy. Each wish was tied to the Wish Tree placed next to the cake table. Miel Bon Bons of Chapel Hill created a delectable and beautiful cake that was nestled on the patio outside the log cabin.

Anthony and Amy danced to beautiful music and enjoyed spending their special evening with friends and family. Each guest departed with a box of handmade macaroons and wonderful memories from Anthony and Amy’s special day.
