Thoughtful Gestures for the Big Day
Well, the big day is here. You'll be hurrying about - getting dressed,
taking pictures, welcoming guests from afar. How can you make sure your dad knows
just how special and important he is on this day? Here are a couple ideas for letting him know:
- Send him breakfast and a note
Consider sending your parents the gift of a leisurely and luxurious breakfast on
the morning of the wedding. If they're staying at home, employee a caterer to come
in and make their favorites. If they're staying at the hotel, send room service. Finish
the caring touch with a bottle of fine champagne and a loving note from you.
- Wake Him Up Lovingly
Just imagine. He's lying in bed early in the morning before your wedding. Thinking about
the day he brought you home from the hospital and wondering where all the time has gone.
Soothe his mind and make his feel special. Have a family friend deliver a basket of
gourmet coffee and a delicious muffin. Wrap it with a big bow and a note that lets him
know that you'll always be his little girl.
- Schedule daddy time
Want dad to know that he's truly special. Schedule some time to spend just with him on
the day of the wedding. The ten minutes right before you go down the aisle is a wonderful
time. Have your coordinator move attendants and family to another room so you and dad can
have a private moment.
