It’s hard enough to plan dinner for six, how will you ever plan a meal that satisfies 150? There are just a few secrets to planning a perfect menu. Follow these tips and you’re sure to please even the pickiest guest in the crowd.

Serve the right amount of food for the time of day
If you’re having a ceremony or reception that overlaps mealtime, plan on a group of hungry guests. If you’re occupying them between 5pm and 8pm, plan to have the meal, whether it’s a plated dinner or buffeted hors d’oeuvres, replacing dinner.

Serve seasonal dishes
Even if it is your favorite, fresh strawberries and cream is tough in December. Ice cream sundaes are impossible outdoors in June. Selecting the right dishes for the season saves you money and improves the quality of available ingredients.
