Marrying Prince Charming

My name is Holly Hill Bishop and on May 2, 2009 I married my very own Prince Charming, Matt. From the beginning, it was love at first sight! We met in April 2007 and from the very moment he walked into my apartment to meet up with a mutual friend he had unknowingly stolen my heart.

Claire McKay wed Ryan Loehr

The Reception at the family home in Raleigh. Claire has a great, fun decorating style. She is a designer for Odell Associates in Charlotte. John Griffin at Themeworks was in charge of decorations and he did such an amazing job creating just what Claire wanted, "Miami with triple the candles"! It was an unusual but very fun, unique, and beautiful wedding.

A Second Chance

After two months of coincidentally ending up at the same parties and events, we started dating. The year-long courtship was intense with the passing of my mother and Walter’s candidacy for Judge. We decided to marry in January as it was a great way to start the year and a wonderful time to travel to Saint Barths for our honeymoon.

A Wedding Giveaway

The Sutherland and the Triangle Chapter of NACE, National Association of Catering Executives, sponsored a wedding for a deserving Triangle couple on Tuesday, March 10, 2009. While putting together their monthly meeting agenda, focused on current wedding trends, the idea was brought up to find a deserving couple to sponsor and have them married at the event.

Carolina On Their Minds

My husband William and I enjoyed what we still call the most wonderful day of our life on May 3, 2008, as we exchanged vows in Angier, NC. Our wedding colors could be described as melon with a citrus twist as shown in our arrangements of crystal punctuated lilies, roses, and hydrangea.

Southern Charm

The groom and I decided to look for our venue and then decide on our scheme and decor. My family lives in the Charlotte area, but his family lives mostly in the North. We really wanted something that was the epitome of "Southern Charm", and how much more perfect could it get than The Carolina Inn?

A Marriage of Cultures

From the very start with invitations printed on aluminum metal, we wanted to have a very original wedding.

With my family heritage being German and Lael's mother being Vietnamese we wanted to bring both cultures together in celebration of our union.

A Blue Devil of a Wedding

The bride and groom met at Duke University in North Carolina, Laura's first day on campus. Four years later, it seemed natural to return to Duke for a wedding at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club, a Four Diamond hotel on campus. Laura planned the wedding while traveling and living in St. Louis, San Diego, and Tokyo, while Kevin, an officer in the U.S.

Breathtaking Sunrise Beach Wedding

Khristopher and I were married on the beautiful Outerbanks of North Carolina. Of all days, we decided that are special day would be unique, yet it was very risky. Our wedding and reception were held at The Sanderling Resort & Spa - Duck, NC at 7:00 in the morning! Yes, there's no typo! We elected to have a sunrise ceremony that would be forever remembered as breathtaking and memorable!

A Vintage Hollywood Wedding

Jeff and I tied the knot at the River Run Country Club in Davidson, North Carolina. It was a blustery but warm day for March, which made for great photos with the wind blowing! My dress was an ivory halter style from "Classic Bride" (Davidson, NC). I felt that this dress evoked a bit of an "old Hollywood glamour" feel.
